First day. August 3  Time: 12:00 pm- 2:30 pm
-At the start of the session we discussed things I wanted to learn on the subject, Alex explained many of the different components needed to start mixing live. Things like gear, skills, contacts, etc. but he said everything would be more clear as we went along.

Second Session August 10 Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- For this session my mentor invited me to help him set up for performance he was going to go at a party in Fontana. First he showed me some of his equipment, some i was familiar with since he already mention some of them. Also how they work with each other, for example how the Computer and the mixing tools go hand on hand with software to manage the music and the performance.

Third Session August 11 Time: 1:00pm- 2:30pm
-In this session Alex let me touch the equipment for the first time, i had some experience handling gear like this since i try to find other ways to get my hands on some. But still it was nice to see how to operate more in depth than before.

Fourth Session August 17 Time: 10:00am- 12:00pm
-Alex asked if I could show up, as always I was exited to go, this time we mixed the whole time he showed me the importance of BPM's as in the beats per minute, and the faders, to put the music in and out from track to the next, introduce to new software like Ableton live 8 which is a beat producing sofware wich was fascinating.

Fifth Session August 24 Time: 8:00pm- 3:00am
-Alex had an event at a college fraternity party in Los Angeles, he invited me to help and learn how it was really done live. I saw him mix live helped set up and set down the gear back to his place. it was really exiting and full of material to learn which made me wonder, What is the most important factor to become a successful Electronic Music Live Dj? very different from other djs.

Literal (Need To Know)

Questions-
-What is the most important  factor to become a successful EDM dj?
-What is the basic knowledge to start mixing live?
-What are the best software for mixing live?
-Is there anything that goes hand to hand with mixing live?
-What is a BPM?
-Why are BPM's so important when mixing music?
-Best gear for better performance?

Interpretive

In my experience with my mentor the most important thing I learned is that practice make you perfect. For the simple reason that even with the best equipment there is no way anyone can randomly make a good live mix with no experience.

Applied

When I picked my topic I thought to my self "what is my favorite thing to do, and that was listening to music, of course once i met Alex and saw the opportunity to see how music was performed at parties and events i took it. His teaching have helped me realized that I could make this for a living or simply just a hobby to help my self a economic sustain.
